"I grew up at Tamangurra number one with Irna Monta and Jo Kukla, that's outstation near Ntaria (Hermannsburg). Me and Ngala used to play around and see a lot of birds when we was growing up. We used to go up Tangangurra and I used to visit her and stay at the
outstation. Our favourite birds was the budgie. We used to see most of the budgies around everywhere. That's u sitting in circle playing marbels, we used to play marbles cos we had nothing else to play with. That was our recreation time. Ladies used to represent, gathering food while we was playing marbles. On the other side that's Mervin Raggatt and Vivienne Entata, and Vivienne was pregnant with her first child. Mervin used to fix the cars and all that. Mum and Irna used to sit down and supervise the kids wen we played marbles."
