This pot I did about my homeland near Hermannsburg to the east, Tnauwurta, where I grew up when I was a child with my brothers and sisters. My Grandfather had a big garden with lots of orange trees and lemon trees and grapes. And we had a kangaroo, we grew him up, and an eagle. His name was Falcon and the kangaroo’s name was Skippy. I forgot to do turkeys. Because we had turkey as well. My Grandfather’s brothers used to come talk stories, tell the young fellas how to hunt. My Aunties showed us how to dig for yirrampa (honey ants) and tjaapa (witchetty grub).
